PTFX stands for:
Play The F'n Objective
This means capturing the flag, planting the bomb, and covering teammates while they complete objectives. It does not mean holding flags to rack up scorestreaks, trapping the enemy spawn for easy kills, or allowing the enemy team to win a round to make the game last longer.
Confidence
We are a clan of skilled players with solid teamwork and communication. However, we will still lose games, and each of us will have bad matches, whether due to lag or some other factor. This is unavoidable. It is critical to keep your cool, strive to turn the game around, and avoid jamming the comms with griping about how you died.
Unity
For a team to work effectively, they need to work together. This means calling targets, covering teammates, respecting the chain of command, and staying on position (including following plays called by Officers and Squad Leaders). Unity also means not bailing on your fellow clanners when you're having a rough match, and being respectful of other members (including the ones you don't get along with as well as others).
Initiative
Put simply: If something needs doing, do it. Stand up and speak your mind, politely, without fear of others disagreeing with you (but expect that they might). If you see a problem, fix it, or bring it to the attention of someone who can.
Integrity
PTFX promotes good sportsmanship. This means, among other things, no trash talking. Whether the enemy won or lost, keep your negative comments to yourself. (For this reason, it is standard practice to mute the enemy team, or to be in party chat.) If your “greenie” teammates aren't as skilled as you, don't cuss them out for it. Good sportsmanship also means no cheating. This includes use of hacks, glitches, and rapid-fire controllers. Any member found cheating is subject to immediate dismissal.
Play to F'n Win
Playing to win means just that: Play to win. Work together as a team to achieve objectives and win the game.
Member Expectations:
1: Standards
All members must adhere to and uphold the things PTFX stands for.
2: Practice
Practices are held every Sunday from 8 to 11 pm EST. All members are expected to attend.
If you have to miss practice, you must post to the PTFX Public Chat before practice starts, as early as possible. At least 24 hours is preferred.
3: Communication
Facebook Chat allows members to organize lobbies in advance, or gather members at a moments notice. All Clan Announcements are made there, and we use it to coordinate events like Diamond Clan Wars.
We also post News, Member Kill-Cams, and more on our Facebook PAGE.
Using Facebook chat is easy (especially in their Messenger app) and we require all Members to at least keep up with the posts in "PTFX News". (A Read-Only news "chat" that you can check in a few minutes, a few times a week.)
* All required activity takes place in Private chat.
* If you have any issues or questions, we are here to help.
4: Activity
We all have lives outside the clan. However, we do expect to see you more than a few times a month. Most of us are on at least a few times a week. As with any activity, practice will improve your skill and keep you from getting rusty. If you will be away for an extended period, just message an officer on facebook in advance.
5: Playing with the Clan
If a member comes online, make room for them. Having people to play with is part of why we're here, so team-mates always get priority access to lobbies over non-members (unless we're working with a Rush and the lobby is full).
6: Have Fun
While our mil-sim tactical approach to gameplay is "serious" fun, we're all still here to have a good time.
PTFX also stands for:
Protect The F'n Runner
Plant The F'n Bomb
Prevent Them From Winning
Punish The F'n Zombies
Protect The F'n Base
Pass The Fried Chicken
Put Them F'n Down
